Conductorum

There are a few games out there based on the concept of waving wands around. However, these are often very simplistic – with some not even being “games”, more amusements, where simply making a motion causes some LEDs to light up and sounds to play.

This simplicity also does a great disservice to the available technology, which is advancing all the time. Not only can the hardware required be fit into something far smaller and cheaper than a “Wiimote”, but it can also be made more accurate and responsive than ever before.

We think there’s a large, untapped market of gamers looking for a much richer experience of a “magical duelling” game, and we also recognise there’s a new generation being introduced to this sub-genre through a large variety of contemporary films and stories.

Our games designer has combined his unique perspective into live-action games with the latest insights from popular e-sports to create Conductorum. A game that uses the strengths of both formats to feel vibrant and immersive. A game that can be played casually by young children, in massive tournaments by experienced adults, or anything in between.

In Conductorum, players cast spells by physically gesturing with a wand. However, just being able to cast spells isn’t enough to win – you need to watch your opponent and their wand carefully. By interpreting their gestures, you can work out the spell they’re trying to cast, and change your plans on the fly to catch them off-guard. All this takes place in real-time, and the rate at which gestures can be completed and spells cast can easily be changed to make gameplay more accessible, or as demanding as desired.
