Little Monsters

Little Monsters is a simple game of cooperation and competition for the whole family. Players compete to catch the most of the little monsters overrunning the town. However, if several players try to catch the same little monsters, they get scared off instead of being caught.

This creates gameplay challenges which are easy to understand, but difficult to master. If you and an opponent both go for the biggest, juiciest pile of monsters, you might both end up with nothing. Do you go for a smaller pile which is less likely to be contested, or do you go for the biggest pile anyway, hoping they chicken out?

There are also big monsters. In opposition to the little monsters, these need several players working together to catch them. Players swap back and forth between these different challenges, as they carefully weave their movements in and out to try and catch monsters and get to good vantage points on the board.

Clever players can wait off to one side of these scuffles, snatching up the monsters as they try to flee. Or, they can avoid clashing with any other players at all and sneakily grab an extra monster from the shadows. These different strategies and layers of choice keep gameplay fresh time and time again.

Little Monsters is playable by up to 8 players, with the board and cards effortlessly expanding to accomodate different numbers. It’s lively and fast-paced, with everyone drawing cards, moving tokens, and catching monsters all over the place! Play always lasts for 8 rounds, which takes about half an hour.

Finally, Little Monsters is not just excellently designed, it’s also beautifully put together. The spinning square cards, colourful squishy footprints, and adorable fuzzy monsters are a surefire hit with players of all ages!
