What’s Next?

So you’ve looked over our website and found a game (or several!) that you think could be a great fit for you and your company. What happens now?

Get In Touch

We can answer your questions over email, or video-conferencing platforms such as Skype. We aim to respond to all emails, including requests for rules, videos, prototypes, and meetings within 5 working days.

Rules

We can send you the complete rules documentation for any of our listed games. This is great for getting a more in-depth understanding of how a game works. These are the same rules we’ve used for playtesting and that we expect end users would learn the game from.

While our rules are carefully worded and laid out to make reading and understanding them as straightforward as possible, they are missing the artistic touches and imagery which really transforms any document from pages of text into something far better suited to casual users.

Videos

We can send you a video showcasing the visuals and more general experience of any of our listed games. Most of our videos are less than 5 minutes long and cover the basics of the game, expanding on the details on this website and our info sheets. We also have gameplay videos for some of our larger games, showing example turns and specific mechanics in more depth.

Please note that, because we design and develop new games very quickly, there is usually a delay of a few weeks between us offering a new game and the video for it being completed.

Prototypes

We can send you a fully playable prototype of any of our listed games, containing a full set of components and rules documentation. However, we are a small company with limited resources – we kindly ask that you only request a prototype once you’re interested in a game.

While we make every effort to ensure our prototypes are as close as possible to our vision of the final game, the quality of components in our prototypes is notably different than what could be achieved by an experienced publisher.

If you are unable to return prototypes, please note this in your request.

Print & Play Sets

An increasingly popular option, we can send you files electronically which will allow you to create a playtest-quality version of the game yourself.

Generally, we prefer to showcase our games through other methods where possible. Putting these files together can take a lot of time away from our other work. We also strive to design even seemingly generic play pieces (like counters) in a way that supports and reinforces every aspect of our games- so substituting your own will probably give an inferior experience.

Meetings

We aim to attend several European gaming conventions each year, most typically “Spiel” in Essen, “Spielwarenmesse” in Nuremburg, and the “UK Games Expo” in Birmingham. We are actively looking to sit down with publishers at these events to discuss our products and how we can help each other.

If any of our games are being seriously considered by your company, we’re happy to travel to you to discuss them in more detail, play the games with you, or just to learn more about how your company operates and what makes you special.

Finally, we always enjoy having guests visit us in scenic Durham. We love to show off our games and talk about our ideas and process – just drop us a line and we’ll make sure the kettle is on for your arrival!
